Our wool roving is ready to be spun, braided or felted.  The roving comes in loosely wound balls that are approximately 2.5 ounces in weight.  A 2.5 ounce ball is about 1 - 2 inch diameter wool roving loosely wound to approximately the size of a soccer ball (not compressed).  When unwound it would be about 20 - 25 feet long.

Wool batts can be ordered for felting.  The batts are approximately 30" X 15" and weigh approximately 2.5 ounces.

Naturally Colored Wool Roving colors are available in: White, Off-White, Red Mesa (shades of brown), Shades of Grey (light or dark grey), and Natural Black.  These are the natural wool colors so colors do vary.  White may have a few dark fibers.  Black and other dark colors may have a few lighter fibers.  We process our own wool into roving. We do the washing, picking and carding. Visit the naturally colored wool roving page for more information and photos.

Acid and Vegetal Dyed Wool Roving colors are available in: Wine, Mustard, Kelly Green, Dark Green, Royal Blue, Walnut, and Dyed Black.  We process our own wool into roving.  We do the washing, picking and carding. We dye our own wool in small batches using acid or vegetal dyes. Different dye batches may vary in color shade. Visit the dyed wool roving page for more information and photos.
